Entries save to Circle8's shared database — one record per lot and stage. A stage locks as soon as a later stage exists for the same lot, so nothing can be back-filled or altered after the fact, and every correction is kept as edit history rather than overwritten. Each stage optionally takes the document behind its reference number (receipt, lab report, e-way bill, recovery note, certificate, etc.) as proof; if attached, it's stored with the entry and can be replaced when you update the stage.
